Workshop Summary:

Dance Days provide educational (and fun) dance workshops for primary, secondary and SEND schools. Our workshops are designed to enrich your pupils’ learning outside of the classroom. We have over 30 different dance styles to choose from, with many linking directly to school topics and projects. You can also build your own Dance Day and pick n mix the styles of dance, and this is very popular for schools that are hosting an international/multicultural day or week. We also work with schools during arts, healthy, wellbeing and sports days/weeks.

Our workshops are suitable for all key stages and abilities, and our team will adapt the delivery of the workshop to ensure that everyone can take part. Each session will start with a short introduction and some fact-finding (depending on the chosen style) this may include a mini warm-up if the session time allows. We will then deliver the dance workshop, using simple routines with the number of steps and complexity increases as we go through the key stages. You will be amazed at how much your pupils’ learn during the sessions, and expect to see the choreography they have learnt in the playground for days to come.

Here are some of our popular dance styles:

African, Carnival & Samba, Chinese, Decades, Flamenco, History topics, Indian & Bollywood, International & Multicultural Events, Musicals, Street & Strictly.

Testimonials:

“ I cannot express how wonderful the workshop was. Rosie was absolutely incredible. She was professional, punctual, and went above and beyond to make sure that all kids in all classes could join in and enjoy. She was brilliant with the kids and they loved learning to Irish Dance. She accepted our crazy idea to do the dance outside without hesitation and assisted every step of the way! Would highly recommend the workshops and hope to have Dance Days back again soon.”

“The Dance sessions were pitched at exactly the right level and the Darren had a fabulous rapport with the children. They learned about not only Chinese Dance, but a little about the language and the culture. The children were engaged thoroughly from start to finish. The whole process was so easy from start to finish and communication was first rate”

“We had Darren in on 14th February and he taught 3 classes dances from different countries. The children really enjoyed themselves during his lessons and were keen to perform their dances to their parents in the afternoon. Darren was very patient with all of them and encouraged everyone to have a go. In my class there was a boy who originally said that he didn't want to perform his dance to the parents but in the end he changed his mind and was really enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend Dance days to other schools and we will use them again ourselves.”
