Workshop Summary:
We bring history to life, using virtual reality to discover the ancient world and providing hands-on practical activities where children can handle artefacts and learn ancient skills. Our workshops are truly immersive.
Using our Virtual Reality headsets, children will explore the sites of ancient Rome and the Romans in Britain, including Trajan's Forum, the Colosseum, Hadrian's Wall and More. Children will also use Augmented Reality to discover Roman artefacts.
An artefact handling session will give children the opportunity to explore real and replica Roman artefacts, including a chance to play some authentic Roman games and try their hand at Roman numeral maths, using wax tablets to write with.
A chance to dress as a Roman legionary or citizen and take part in a Roman army drill, lead in Latin.
A chance to explore mosaics, coins, architecture and much, much more!
