CPD/INSET Course Summary:

Dr Matt Pritchard is a curator of wonder. He has spent the last 13 years working in schools delivering science and maths magic shows. At their core, the shows aim to cultivate curiosity and wonder in the pupils. In this CPD session he will explain both the thinking behind why wonder is so important to teaching but also a host of super practical demonstrations that you can take away and use immediately in your lessons.

Matt also shares the results of his Words on Wonder project that has interviewed over 120 fascinating individuals from the worlds of science, magic, arts, adventuring and philosophy.

His last CPD event (June 2020) gathered the following feedback:

”Matt's WOW -HOW - NOW was fun but powerful in making the ordinary --- extraordinary and getting children thinking questioning and maintaining curiosity. Great to have such simple ideas to use straight away with minimal resources needed.”
