CPD/INSET Course Summary:

During this course we will give staff plenty of ideas and techniques to enhance their creative curriculum or arts week. We’ll explore various textile activities, from fabric painting and simple sewing ideas to exploring batik and cold wax options. We’ll also look at weaving, using fabric in collage work, flour and water paste ideas, tie dye methods will be dipped into!
Teachers will engage in creating their own textile pieces and will discover ways of adapting the techniques covered to use in their art lessons and planning sessions. Artists' work will be explored and ways to inspire pupil’s work and starting points discussed.
Teachers will also gain the skills to extend and develop pupils' textile making experiences and we will look at various ways of displaying artwork creatively in school. You’ll discover ways of using materials you already have in school and using recycling materials wherever possible, as well as ways to deliver successful textile sessions online with pupils at home.
Other popular INSET sessions covering relevant art theory and practical elements as well as the course leader' extensive experience of providing creative art workshops in schools and early years settings.
